Easter 2016 What to do in Cairns?

Easter 2016 What to do in Cairns?

With Easter fast approaching many reef tour operators are reporting strong bookings and even some of the Cairns liveaboard dive & snorkel boats are already totally booked out.

The 2016 Easter Public Holidays are as follows:

Date Day Holiday
25 Mar Fri Good Friday
26 Mar Sat Easter Saturday
27 Mar Sun Easter Sunday
28 Mar Mon Easter Monday

So if you are planning a beautiful long weekend or week away in Cairns during this time it is advised to enquire and book in advance to avoid disappointment.

There are many great tours for families with small children aged between 4-14 years old. Check out the Family Friendly Day Tours to The Great Barrier Reef.

If you are a little more adventurous and would like to snorkel and perhaps try a first-time introductory scuba dive then have a look at our Snorkeling & Diving Tours from Cairns.

If you have your open water dive ticket or advanced diver then you might be interested in a 2-day / 1-night liveaboard from Cairns.

For those that would like to visit the Rainforest there are day tour to Kuranda on the scenic train and skyrail. You also have day tours to Cape Tribulation National Park and the Daintree. The other rainforest of interest is the Atherton Tableland’s located South West from Cairns.

Generally the weather is hot and humid and we may have scattered showers but this doest stop the tours. All the day boats will be operating along with all Rainforest day tours.

Make sure to enjoy Rustys market located on Grafton street in the City of Cairns while you are here. They are a great local market that is free and you can try many local rainforest fruits and locally grown coffee, vegetables and food stalls. Open from 6am to 3pm Friday / Saturdays and Sundays.

Also make sure to stop by the Cairns Esplanade Night Markets. Open from 5pm thru till 12 midnight 7 nights a week. Lots of arts and crafts, souvenirs and yummy sweets and foods to tempt you for desert.

We hope you have a beautiful Easter break and if you need help trying to find the best reef or rainforest tour that is right for you, also to check tour availabilities please drop us a line on PH: 07 40411635 or send an email.
