Please note: to try any form of scuba diving everyone needs to be medically fit with no asthma and not be taking any prescription medication. PADI recommends allowing up to 24 hours after diving before flying in an airplane.
Please Note: As required by the Queensland Government a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate is required to travel on all tour boats. All passengers will be required to check in with the Queensland Government check-in app. Everyone 16 years or older must be double vaccinated to travel. There are no refunds if you turn up on the day unvaccinated.
Please note this tour departs from Port Douglas bus transfers are not included. You must make your own way to the Port Douglas Marina to check-in.

Quicksilver Cruises operate a luxury 5-star day cruise to the Great Barrier Reef. As the only pontoon operator in Port Douglas, Quicksilver offers outstanding customer service. A wave-piercing boat offers a fast stable ride to the Agincourt ribbon reef systems.
Snorkel over large shallow coral gardens with many different species of soft and hard corals. Try a first-time scuba dive or helmet dive (Optional extra) while out on the reef. Observe many different species of marine animals from the underwater observatory and semi-submarine like Sea Turtles, Giant Mauri Wrasse, Giant Clams, Cuttlefish, Nudibranches, Sting Rays, Schooling Barracuda, Cleaner Fish, Giant Trevally and much more.
Snorkeling is easy from Quicksilvers Outer Barrier Reef Pontoon. All snorkeling equipment is provided like snorkel, fins, mask, and lycra suit. Hot freshwater showers are located on the back deck of the boat to rinse yourself after snorkeling. Life jackets and pool noodles are also available on the day, just ask the crew.
Certified Scuba Diving:
Quicksilver offers optional extra certified scuba diving. Divers can complete up to 2-certified dives in the one day. (See price breakdown above). All certified scuba dives are guided by professional dive instructors. Full dive gear is provided i.e. snorkel, fins, mask, wetsuit (5mm Short) BCD, regulator, dive computer, tanks, and weights. Remember to bring your dive license on the day.
Introductory Scuba Diving:
Quicksilver also offer the chance to try a first-time introductory scuba dive. All dives are completed on the Great Barrier Reef. The dive includes a 10-minute training safety video, followed by a 10-minute instruction of the dive equipment. You then enter the water to spend 40-minutes scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef. All dives are completed with a professional dive instructor. Full dive gear is provided. *Remember you must be medically fit with no asthma and not taking any prescription medication to try scuba diving.
Quicksilver also offer Helmet Diving, very similar to scuba diving only you don't get your hair wet. A large glass helmet is placed over your head and you walk around underwater observing the Great Barrier Reef. All helmet diving is completed with a professional dive instructor. Full dive gear is provided. *Remember you must be medically fit with no asthma and not taking any prescription medication to try scuba diving.
Scenic Helicopter Reef Flights:
Have you ever wanted to see how large the Great Barrier Reef really is? Try a 10-Minute Scenic Helicopter Reef Flight. Completed while you are out on the reef. A professional helicopter crew will give you a short safety briefing before enjoying a 10-Minute Helicopter flight over the Great Barrier Reef.
Quicksilver cruises offer morning, afternoon tea, coffee, and buffet lunch. Cold water is served all day, beer, wine and soft drink can be purchased from the onboard bar. Lunch is served at 12:30noon. It includes a beautiful hot and cold buffet smorgasbord of fresh prawns, hot soups, fresh salads, cold desserts, chicken dishes, hot beef stews and much more. *Vegetarian and food allergy meal options are also available.
