Reef Magic Cruises depart from Cairns, this makes for less travel time to the Outer Reef systems. Moore Reef, the site where Reef Magic have their pontoon is beautiful. A large two-story platform provides plenty of shade. Observe many different species of marine animals from the underwater observatory, glass bottom boat and semi-submarine like Sea Turtles, Giant Mauri Wrasse, Giant Clams, Cuttlefish, Nudibranches, Sting Rays, Schooling Barracuda, Cleaner Fish, Giant Trevally and much more.
All snorkeling equipment is provided like snorkel, fins, mask, and lycra suit. Hot freshwater showers are located on the back deck of the boat to rinse yourself after snorkeling. Entry into the water easy from the semi-submerged snorkel platform. Life jackets and pool noodles are also available on the day, just ask the crew.
Certified Scuba Diving:
All certified scuba dives are guided by professional dive instructors. Full dive gear is provided i.e. snorkel, fins, mask, wetsuit (5mm Short) BCD, regulator, dive computer, tanks, and weights. You can complete upto (2) Certified Dives on the day. Remember to bring your dive license on the day.
Introductory Scuba Diving:
All Introductory scuba dives are completed with a professional dive instructor. Full dive gear is provided. Enjoy a 10-minute training session with your instructor before entering the water to dive for another 40 minutes over the Great Barrier Reef. *Remember you must be medically fit with no asthma and not taking any prescription medication to try scuba diving.
Helmet diving is also available on Reef Magic. A large glass helmet is placed over your head and you walk around underwater observing the Great Barrier Reef. All helmet diving is completed with a professional dive instructor. Full dive gear is provided. *Remember you must be medically fit with no asthma and not taking any prescription medication to try scuba diving.
Scenic Helicopter Reef Flights:
Have you ever wanted to see how large the Great Barrier Reef really is? Try a 10-Minute Scenic Helicopter Reef Flight. Completed while you are out on the reef. A professional helicopter crew will give you a short safety briefing before enjoying a 10-Minute Helicopter flight over the Great Barrier Reef.
Lunch is served at 12:30noon. It includes a beautiful hot and cold buffet smorgasbord of fresh prawns, hot soups, fresh salads, cold desserts, chicken dishes, hot beef stews and much more. Cold water is served all day, beer, wine and soft drink can be purchased from the onboard bar. *Vegetarian and food allergy meal options are also available. Make a note in the comments of the booking form if you require any of these.
